My work is rooted in portraiture that feels natural, restrained, and attentive. I’m interested in moments that sit just outside of performance, when posture relaxes and expression becomes less fixed. I approach each subject with minimal direction, allowing the image to develop through presence rather than construction.
The photographs are shaped by observation and pacing. I respond to light, environment, and subtle physical cues, focusing on images that feel lived in rather than resolved. There is an intentional quiet to the work, where intimacy and distance exist simultaneously and the subject is given space rather than definition.
My portraits do not aim to explain or stylize the individual. Instead, they hold a sense of ambiguity, allowing the viewer to engage without instruction. Whether the image feels composed or unguarded, the emphasis is on clarity and restraint, letting personality emerge without excess.
Influenced by classic fashion and editorial portraiture, my work prioritizes honesty over polish. I work with natural light and a deliberate pace, using film as part of the process rather than a visual signature. Each photograph is a record of attention, shaped by timing, collaboration, and restraint.
